Did you know that USGBC is now issuing quarterly addenda for all of the LEED 2009 Reference Guides? The first sets of addenda were released back in April, and the second set was released this week, on July 19. While project teams are only required to comply with addenda that were issued prior to the project registration date, it is still important for teams to stay apprised of the current addenda. Sometimes the addenda will help clarify existing reference guide language or could be beneficial to the project team to use, even though they are not required to. For instance, the newest addenda for LEED BD+C eliminates the requirement for liquid hazardous wast containment in IEQ credit 5: Indoor Chemical and Pollutant Source Control.
